Since his arrival he has helped revoluntionize the fortunes of
Irish rugby. Ireland's backs have accounted for 12 of the 17
tries
scored in the 2000 Six Nations;17 of the 23 scored
in the summer (including the Barbarians game)
and 12 of the 13 run up in the autumn.
In the year 2000, Ireland averaged nearly five tries a game.

in the scrum,

performed the Hat Trick against the NSW Warathas in 1996.

Finished his active carreer with the
New Zealand- England Semi-Final
match in the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
